What
about square bales ?
A Hay Hut is 6' x
7' wide and 7' tall and will easily accommodate any shape of hay you want to
use.
It also comes in two halves so you could put one half on
each side of a shared run if you wanted.
Round bales are
about half the cost of squares if you can make it work.
A friend puts one
round bale in the back of her pickup and the pushes it out when she gets home.
( The trick is put the flat part of the bale up a bit so when you open the
tailgate it virtually rolls out on it's own. )
But if you are
a square bale user you can put out several bales at a time and they won't waste
it
and it won't get rained on.
And you could take a day or two off from
feeding hay as it is already there for them.
